New Epigraphic Inscription on the Door of the Burial Chamber of the Mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi: Yasawi’s Name and Honorific Titles

Abstract. This article examines newly discovered epigraphic inscriptions revealed during the recent restoration of the 14th-century tomb doors of the Mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi. Notably, for the first time, the explicit appearance of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi’s name on the mausoleum door is considered a scholarly discovery. The content, style, historical, and Sufi contexts of the inscriptions are analyzed using a textual-historical method and compared with previously published sources.
